TorGuard now offers easy to use software that will setup your Torrent Proxy on a Linux based OS in just a few seconds. This installer will work with all the latest versions of uTorrent, Bittorrent, Vuze and Deluge ensuring that you have optimal proxy settings entered. Additionally, a proxy adds a second layer of security to and existing VPN service connection. This helps protect against accidental VPN disconnects as a proxy is “always on”.

Before running, we suggest installing on the newest version of ubuntu and updating your system.

First make sure to close all torrent clients completely or the settings may not take effect properly.

1.) Download the Torrent Proxy App 64bit or Torrent Proxy App 32bit and run the .deb pacakge.
This will install the app through the proxy manager and load up the TorGuard Proxy settings window seen below:

Enter the proxy Username and Password you setup when registering for TorGuard Proxy service.

Choose the proxy server you wish to connect to (Default will connect to the fastest possible server).

Choose your torrent software (utorrent, bittorrent, Vuze or Deluge).

Click Apply settings!

Thats it… Your torrent proxy settings have now been applied for optimal security on the torrent client of your choice.
Your can verify your torrent IP using our Check Torrent IP tool.
