TorGuard just launched its biggest update this year. This new update brings a ton of new requested features, visual improvements and a significant update to our Stealth VPN technology.

TorGuard’s VPN software is already a client favorite, but we aren’t satisfied yet. Here are some of the best new improvements to TorGuard’s VPN software.

Visual UI Update

TorGuard has received a new visual update making it even easier and more intuitive to use the TorGuard VPN client on any OS.

On the main page of the client, you can clearly see whether you are connected with new visual icons and status notifications. Details about your connection are now even easier to understand with the dark navy blue background that contrasts bolder text. The visual update is meant to provide clearer text definition and reading accessibility.

Since TorGuard is the most advanced VPN client around, we wanted it to feel that way. And now it does!

Server Filtering Feature

While TorGuard has a massive list of VPN servers, you might not need to use all of them. Having too many servers showing up can make it harder to find the server you need!

That’s why we’ve included a new server filtering feature that gives you the option to filter what servers you can see. You can filter results now based on results like Normal, Stealth, USA, Europe, Asia, and other specific regions.

NEW Stealth VPN Servers

Here at TorGuard, we’re committed to consistent updates that evolve our platform. These unique and full-featured security updates help users around the world connect to our VPN when others may fail.

tg-new-stealthWhen we designed our Stealth VPN servers, we wanted to combat deep packet inspection techniques present in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, and China that have become increasingly more aggressive with totalitarian Internet censorship and VPN blocking.

In the past, TorGuard has adapted to help users maintain their internet freedom with Stealth VPN and our Stealth Proxy. Our Stealth VPN servers assist you in disguising VPN traffic as regular web traffic even when inspected by deep packet inspection.  Our “VPN camouflage” is achieved through obfuscation which removes all metadata from packet headers that identify the data as being part of a VPN protocol. In this way you can always connect to all of TorGuard’s VPN servers, even when behind strict firewalls like those seen in China.

Now with this new TorGuard update, our innovative Stealth VPN server technology has expanded to every one of our servers which means users can expect better speeds and optimized connections in 50+ countries.

To access TorGuard’s NEW Stealth VPN servers, just select the Stealth AES-128-CBC / SHA256 option from the cipher drop down menu. (If you don’t see any Stealth option under “cipher” settings, just go to the settings menu and click “Restore Defaults”. Then restart the TorGuard app. You should now see the Stealth VPN option for all servers!)

To update your TorGuard VPN app to the latest version, simply click the update banner on the bottom of app or visit our download page!
