Here at TorGuard we’ve noticed a huge uptick in clients using VPNs for unblocking specific websites and streaming platforms. Governments, ISPs, and now corporations seem to be banding together to decide how we should use the internet. This means that geo-restrictions, IP restrictions, VPN bans, and other forms of internet control are increasing. We believe that the internet should be open, and TorGuard VPN can be the solution to give users the access to the content they want.

In order to provide the best streaming access to websites and services, we’ve now introduced a new add-on called “Residential IP VPN”. These IPs are capable and designed specifically for streaming US based HD content.

These residential VPN IP servers are whitelisted with all of the major USA streaming platforms and have active peering agreements between these platforms and Internet Service Providers to give you the best streaming performance possible. This means no stuttering and no waiting around to fix the infamous “proxy error” when trying to stream your favorite flix.

Now, with residential IPs, you don’t have to sacrifice the security of your Network by abandoning VPN use. You can keep your security, information, and data private, but you can still access streaming services and media content on the web, regardless of your location!

It’s true, these IPs are mainly here for streaming users, but we’ve also seen users interesting in unique residential IPs to access things like forums, online marketplaces, job sites, and more. Residential IPs are multipurpose, and it is not possible for a website to block a residential IP since they cannot determine it is a VPN user.

To activate, existing TorGuard users can add this new Residential VPN IP add-on in the member’s area, and new clients can simply choose the Residential IP option during checkout.
