TorGuard has always been great, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be better. We’re out in front of every emerging privacy and security threat, and we use our research to constantly fortify TorGuard. Our updated TorGuard VPN app for Windows, all versions of macOS, Linux, iOS and Android incorporates newer features, bug fixes, and an improved interface that make TorGuard even easier to use.
Here’s What We Updated
In addition to our new user interface and improved design, you’ll see new options and labeling on all platforms. We didn’t take away the STunnel feature, but we did change its label. “STunnel enabled” is now “SSL enabled”.
ShadowSocks is now enabled on most servers, and we’ve added a new stealth option. When you select OpenVPN and TCP Protocol and the server submits, the “Stealth enabled” option will show up on the Connect screen. We’re phasing out the old Stealth Proxy feature in favour of our newer, better Stealth feature.
Android users will see that from release v1.59.7, 2021-05-06 onwards has a new and improved user interface and design that makes TorGuard more intuitive to use. We have also updated WireGuard.
A new TorGuard iOS app version will be released early next week featuring a long-awaited Killswitch – the difference is, our killswitch does exactly what it says. TorGuard does not release features unless we are absolutely sure you are protected.

Here’s What We Fixed
Some Linux users experienced issues with the “Autostart on boot” function however they are now resolved. Some Android TV users were not able to see the “Settings” button on their screen and the issue is now resolved.
A rare bug was occurring for some users where TorGuard was not able to connect, and the connected state displayed in red. This issue has been resolved for all users.
